Review:
Im 6"3' about 180. Better then average build from crew everyday. I ordered these L-XL. Too big, elastic went all the way up to top of my thigh and down to my ankle. as well as from my wrist up over my bisept, which was a big problem cause if i was in a tense situtation adn my arm was flexing the spandex would put more stain on my arm and casue my fingers to not walk the trigger as easily casue of discomfort. Cut off circulation, from the elastic, but the pads could spin and slide all over my leg. I tried to just slide once in my room, and the pads slipped past my knees and i ende up bruising my legs. They offer a S-M, was going to trade in for them, these sizes are made for 8 year old girls, I mean there was no way they could fit over my wrist or ankle. The quality of the pads were bad, as soon as i took them out of hte box there were spots were the seems were comming up done slightly alread, so if they did work it would only take 1 days worth to shred them.
I got these before i joined my college's paintball team. Thought for speedball padding on the knees would make life after paintball good. Wrong idea, found out everyone on my team mainly relied on there pants with built in padding to keep them safe. One kid had pads and they were JT, double the quality of empire pads, good sizes and stay in place. Didnt cause him to "stick" to the floor when sliding either, very happy with his investment.
Conclusion:
For me i invested in a pair of paintball pants. If u are paying around 40 for a pair of knee pads, why not caugh up another 30 for a full pair of pants that can offer u more versatility and protection, while not feeling like ur joints are loosing circulation. Even if u feel pads are the way to go, empire has a long way to go before anyone should invest in there pads, unless u can somehow fit into exremely small pads or can deal with no circulatio nad flimsy coverage.
Go full pants or JT pads
Give it a 3 since they were pads, look nice, and seemed at first like they were gonna work. Also since they werent too expensive
so just b/c you ordered the wrong size you are giving it a 3? :eyes: If it was just b/c of the spots it should have been atleast an 8. If you did get the right size then you wouldn't have torn them up. It is called comon sence.

Dispute: I find this rating inaccurate due to the fact the man is 6 foot 3 and only weighs 180 pounds..he would have chicken legs. He obviously chose the wrong size.
Dude why are you guys giving him such a big deal. I had the exact same problem. I got smalls, and i'm 5 6'. They went all the way up teh thighs, and always just slid to the side of my leg when i slide on them. Maybe it was a bad batch, or maybe they just don't fit everybody perfectly. I highly doubt a ton of people had this problem considering empire made them, but a few did.
