Review: When I first thought of upgrading from my JT Proflex to a newer mask I was torn on many different concepts on which to choose a mask. Besides the feel, durability, and fit, I was judging more on looks, and cool factor, than anything else. I must admit that I was shocked at the amount of comfort and customization.

#1. The mask fits perfect right out the box. Not only did it have a great fit, the straps included with the invision are quality straps that don't allow slipping, insuring a constant fit. That alone was a great plus.

#2. Perhaps this is more of an opinion than and actual fact, but the lens was very sharp, and clear. Even after several games it has retained its clearness. I am not sure if all masks come with a lens as clear as invision but, my Jt Proflex wasn't as clear.

#3. Second if the overall feel of the product. This may go back some towards the straps, but the mask has a great feel to the face when worn correctly. I am sure this is the case again with most masks. Yet I have to say that the invision has a snug, yet comfortable fit to the face.

#4. More of an secondary category is the ability to customize your mask as you see fit. I was well pleased with the selection of colors, lenses, frames, face masks, and other extras that can be purchased to give your mask its own personality. The game timer, and fan, being two of the extra goodies I found very interesting.

#5. The only problem if it can be classified as a problem is the process of changing lenses. I swear the first time you attempt the super human feat your thumbs will bleed, causing you to wonder if it was a sick joke on the part of Dye. In all actuality, the lens changing process was a bit of a pain. Mainly reattaching the colored fram back to the lens.

#6. Also I have heard stories of Dye lenses fogging up on people in games. I really don't know how that has happened seeing how I have played both in the cold, and hot weather while wearing said mask. Never has my mask ever fogged or come close to fogging. So in my opinion the lenses don't fog. Just proper care and maintenance will prevent that!

Overall I am very impressed with the function of the Dye Invision mask system. It has proved its worth as one of the great goggle systems, and I am sure that it will continue to evolve towards greater things.
Conclusion: A great goggle system that has almost no flaws what so ever to its design. I am giving a 9 cause I have not the ability to judge any product a ten based on the fact that no perfect systems has yet to be created.

OH my it's from DYE an over prices corperation that shall burn to the ground...
i agree with mike higgs on this one and i completly disagree with the paintballfool27.
Well as we know if it's a new company and all their SHlTS expensive as hell its gota be good right? consider if brass eagle made the invision and Dye didn't ok...
would brass eagle sell it for 90 bucks?.. i highly dought it. no one would by it its too expensive!!... but then lets say DYE copies brass eagle's invision and sells it for 100$ people would buy it. WHY because Dye made it it's gota be good when it was probely made at 27$... well i hope you see my point.

Here's the thing dye is a good company. The stuff may cost a bit more because it's good quality.I don't know what your getting on with this comparing dye to brass eagle stuff for.The reason why people buy dye is not because it's expensive but because of the quality and how they stand behind there work.
Don't knock a company because you can't afford some of their thing's.That would be like me saying that bob long gun's or angle gun's suck because I cant afford them.(they rule btw)

The Dye invision mask fogs like crazy. It costs to much and you can't see to play. Can't see to play? That's the whole point of the mask.Safety and vision. If you can't see your not safe. This mask is trash.Go with the jt profelx. Jim

Wow, I can tell from all of the 1 review you have posted just how well read you are on your subjects. First off the mask doesn't fog. Perhaps if you were to stop sweating like a stuck pig in theback woods of Alabama then you would know. Second, if this mask is so much trash then you need to tell over half of all players thatuse it that. Wait, maybe the sales of the mask speak for it self! Think before you speak next time.

Well I live in a pretty average place. So when I say cold I mean 40-30 degrees. I dont get to play that often when it is cold like that, but everything worked well.

Well you posted this in 2004 and I am still using my two year old Mask and it has never failed me.
I have replaced lenses a few time, and the foam is still pretty good. Not great, but its ok.
I have only fogged when the temp was over 80 and the humiduty index was high and I was playing a game that lasted more than 30 mins. Heck, in those condition wood will fog if you breath on it that long.
