Paintball
Experience:
More than 5 years
Marker Setup: A5 Flatline, E grip. Also A5-AK mod 14"sniper barrel ,RT
Strengths: Everything except the straps. They "look" cool - but looks dont mean squat. Im not impressed.
Weaknesses: The straps are made of sandpaper and are really bad when you sweat.
Review: these pads would be perfect if they would come up with a better material for the straps - the way the are now (I bought them Aug 2004) the straps feel like they are made of sandpaper. I dont get it - the inside of the pad is so soft (like fleece), but the straps SUCK!!!! I am so dissapointed by this. If you look at the other reviews on these pads you will see that I am the only one complaining about this which leads me to believe that they have started using another material for the straps (even the pic on Flurry's site looks different then what I got today). Do NOT buy these pads unless you dont mind wearing them over your pants - otherwise you are gonna end up with one nasty rash on the back of your legs. Just picture running aroung in the heat, sweating buckets, and someone constantly rubbing strips of sandpaper on the delicate back part of your legs.
Conclusion: Im dissapointed - comfort is everything in a pad and these are NOT comfortable.
Rating:
2 out of 10

You beat me to it, I was gonna say the same thing. These are the best knee pads I have ever worn. WTF does this guy play paintball in shorts, or what?

LoL Dude, any knee pads with shin guards on them are supposed to be worn under the pants. Get a clue. Now it looks like you ruined the ratings for something that deserves way more than a 2

Dispute:
The straps are not designed to be worn against the skins, but over pants. your arguement that they are uncomfortable when worn in a way they are not designed discredits your scoring. These pads are anything but uncomfortable.
