Leaked from the fill valve had to screw it in at a certain point.
Review:
Its a great tank. My first compressed air tank and I'm very satisfied with it. The only thing that got me frustrated was that when i first got it, took to a paintball shop and got it filled to 4500psi, the next morning it was down to 3000psi. It leaked thru the whole night! It was such a smalll leak that i had to put it in slightly in the bucket of water to find it. It came from the filling valve. I had to screw it in at a certain point where the leak stopped. Nicked some of the paint while doing it. I was pissed!!! But overall, its a great tank and I just so happen to get one a half fast screwing job.
Mine did that exact same thing. Filled it to 4500 and left it in the car. I came back and it was at 3200. I thought maybe the heat from the car made it release some air :X
Anyway I can't hear any leaking so maybe I have the same problem. Who knows ill try the water trick.
ya same wit me. It was at 4500 then the next day it was at 3500. when i put the nipple to my ear i hear a faint buzzing noise obviously where the leak is but i cant fix it.
well, i know what the problem is for you 2, and its quite common, and basic science...whenever you get your tanks back from getting filled...it feels hot right? well, because the gas has been expanded then compressed again into the tank..it heats up due to the compression..therefore te air molecules are spread further apart, and over time the air molecules cool down and become closer together..reducing the amount of psi......every time i fill mine at my local shop, i drop it off in the morning, get them to fill it, leave it there for the day, and come get it in the afternoon and get them to fill it the rest of the way...that way its up to 4500psi
