Delay when hitting the PTT button, can't be heard well
The throat mic set up seemed to be very well built. I was suprised by the comfort of the mic around my neck. It didn't feel like it was choking me at all. The ear bud was coated in rubber, and was comfortable. The wiring is kept very close to the body, and doesn't hang out or get caught on anything.
There is at least a 2 second delay before you can transmit after you push the PTT button. Its not the batterys, and its not the radio. For what ever reason, its in the mic set up. When I transmit, my teammates could not hear anything except mumbling. I tried everything to correct it, but I could not get any improvement with anything that I tried.
This throat mic set up sounds good in theory but simply does not work. If your team cannot make out what you are saying, then the product is useless. I have gone back to my old ear bud set up and I have had no problems hearing or being heard.
Unless the company can correct the flaws in this throat mic set up, pass it up and get a Jabba ear bud or something simular.
