Uhh... It only comes in Brush Aluminum???
After much debate between the FF SMC Ram and the Nexus Ram I decided to go with this Ram. And man I am Soo Happy I did, this thing is incredible. Every single person I talked to from the guys at Gun Slingers to the best techs I've met all said to get this ram for 1 reason, it's fast. They can say what ever they won't out the 44 mag but this is the king of Rams...
If you need a Ram for any AutoCocker application GET This...
If you ever want to compare two rams against each other, extend the shaft of each ram, and holding one shaft in each hand with the rams horizontal, put the ram cylinders end to end and press the ram shafts together gently. The smoother of the two rams will close before the other ram shaft starts to move. With very evenly matched rams, both shafts may move, but the smoothest of the two will still fully close before the other one. This test only works properly if the rams are held horizontally, and held by the ends of the ram shafts - if the rams are placed on a surface, friction between the cylinder and the surface may alter the results.
If you carry out this test between the Belsales 44 Mag/Eclipse Nexus (same ram, just slightly different milling) and the SMC rams (FreeFlow, G-Force, Moody and Belsales 38 Special), you will find that the 44 Mag IS actually smoother than the SMC, which should translate to lower cocking pressures at any given cycle rate, or faster cycle rates at the same cocking pressure. However, the SMC rams are brilliant rams none the less, and the difference in performance is small. The 44 Mag and the SMC rams are definitely the two best freely available rams at this time.
