ive only been playing for 2-3 weeks and ive only shot 98's and spyders but i know for a fact that this is a good quality gun. this gun is deadly accurate, shoots fast, and its a TIPPMANN so its durable. the drop forward helps you tuck in a lot and it doesnt make the gun look so long. The trigger is really nice because you can shoot so much faster. Another thing is the barrel, although it chips fairly easily, its accurate. Ive only played one day (6 matches) and when i played i only broke 3 balls and i played for the entire day.
Conclusion:
this is an awesome beginner gun and is great for woods play. some people will say tippmanns suck and but that is because most of this sport is speedball and tippmanns aren't known very well for shooting 20+ (except maybe the A-5). If you are a newbie like me check out this gun before you buy anything.
bull!! tippmann says the A5 is capable of 800+ rounds/ minute. if u were smart and could divide, ud realize thats 23... bps... DUH! BTW great review dude.
The A-5 itself is capable of 20 bps, but the cyclone feed, however is not. And tippmanns not shooting 20 plus bps? ha. Tell that to the tippmann effect, their 98 customs with e-bolts, matrix boards and eyes get around 30.
a how bout this instead of 30 balls a second how bout when you see someone you shoot them in the mask! works for me.you guys should try it unless its speedball the shooting fast helps a little but speedball is g@y . 1person-1paintball-1kill.quite simple unless you suck at shooting which is probably why a lot of you have high end electros
the cyclone loader is rated for 15 bps and with a stock trigger thats nearly impossible because its has heavy/long trigger pull at least when compared to other guns.i think the e-grip is only rated for 15 too. but whatever
Yeah Ill take my 98 Custom Pro Basic with 18" Interceptor Barrel NO r/t NO E/T any day Ive sniped more people out with the Interceptor than my buddy has shot period with his ion but we play woodsball

dude you are lame....speedball rocks.....i dont like woodsball....i like speedball and urban....woodsball is so easy....you jus hide in a bush and weight for your shoot....and you hav to be quiet...and thats it....

Right cause in woodsball all you do the whole game is sit there in a bush right? I just played woodsball yesterday, and let me tell you that if thats how you play woodsball, then no wonder you don't like it. Oh ya, should i start typing like this.....i think its kinda dumb.....but ok.........
I use it for speedball also. 1 shot, 1 kill. It takes time, but you'll get it. I wouldn't suggest any other gun. I have to admit it's heavy because of my BT barrel, CAR stock and Empire Reloader 2. But being ex-militery, I'm used to 100 lbs of gear. If your main game is woodsball, I would suggest a Kingman remote line w/slide check. Also go to rap4.com and check out their paintball vests (cheap and durable). GOOD REVIEW.
Ok I actually play speedball and woodsball. I like speedball alot the reason I play woodsball more is because it has giant battles. I play scenario mostly big games and that is anything but hiding in a bush for hours. I enjoy getting shot by tanks. So please keep the way you play paintball to yourself.and also tippmanns can shoot over 20 bps.
