Review:
Let me start off by saying that i love my profiler to death, it is by far the best investment i have made into paintball so far. Ive tried invisions, and all sorts of JT masks, but the only one i liked was the profiler
On to the Review
My profiler came stock with a Clear/lightly smoked lens, i like to replace my lenses every 6 months so i got an amber one to replace it. Needless to say im not terribly impressed with the new lens. The Clear lens didn't fog at all, ive played several games in a downpour and the lens didn't fog, but got a coating of condensed water, not fog, but big droplets running down the lens. The Amber lens fogs almost every time im on the field now, moving around gets rid of the fog but its really annoying and seriously takes away from the fun factor of the game. Ive also noticed that the Vforce lenses are harder to scratch but get the little fractures from paintball hits way easyer than other masks do
Conclusion:
Needless to say im going to stick to the clear lenses from now on, maybe i got a lemon or something but i really just didn't like the Amber as much as i did the clear, not even mentioning the fog issue, plus the weird colour
Totally agree with you. I have the Morph and I got hit in the lense, i was looking at it after i cleaned it off and i noticed the lense got cracked. I'll just have to order another lense again. My scott mask never fractured or niether did my Java mask. But by far VFORCE masks are the best masks out there!
i havent used the amber lense for the profilers, but i know that the amber lense comes in both the replacement and the "rental" replacement (for about $10 cheaper) maybe you got the rental one which is why it fogged? nothing against your opinion, maybe you did get a "lemon", but just making sure you know that there are different grades of replacement lenses.
Yeah i got alot of condensed water on my lense too. it wasnt like fog it was like really big water droplets. I thought this review was very helpful because i have had my mask for more than 6 months and i was about to order another lense.
