Products Used:
Various manufacturers' red dots & ghost rings...too many to list.
Marker Setup: Phantom HSC
-Lots of barrels (SP/J&J/ANS/WWA/CCI). I'm a barrel-whore. ;)
-Pun's Bobbed/gauged valve w/ 32 degrees 1200psi gauge
-Pun's Dually Undercocking Kit :)
-WWA Ghost Ring
-CP rail
-CP on/off w/another gauge
-Lever Action drop-out mod.
Strengths: Build quality; this sucker is tough and looks great, too.
Weaknesses: Limited applications (but it worked for me; see review). TINY set screw (see review).
Review: I was slightly apprehensive because WWA's disclaimer states that these are not guaranteed to fit the clear parts or - custom - aluminum feeds; I use(d) clear parts. But after ordering one anyway and trying it on: the Ghost Ring actually slid on to the clear-parts feed smoothly and tightened down well with the provided set screw (although there was no way around such a tiny screw, be careful not to unscrew it too much or you could lose it). The Ghost Ring slid a bit snugger on CCI's black feed and the set screw did its job. Although not tested, I'm quite comfortable the Ghost RIng could take repeated paintball hits without budging a bit - on either of the feeds (my opinion, only, of course). I particularly like this Ghost Ring because the field of view is a true ring; not a semi-cirlce with a notch cut out to slide onto the rail. To me, this is more aesthetically pleasing. The overall looks of this Ghost Ring are quite nice and although it looks great on clear parts, I actually had to put the black parts back on because it looks so sweet...
I like the Ghost Ring because it aids in quick target acquisition, there are no batteries to worry about, it works in any lighting conditions (assuming you can see anything at all, of course), looks great on my (your) Phantom, but still requires a degree of "knowing your gun" as there is no actual dot or cross hair to find and then place on target.
This piece came with what appeared to be a small "tool mark" along the right-flank. It happened before the anodizing process and is hardly noticeable - one of those things your friend wouldn't see, but you know it's there...it's not a big deal at all and is one of those things that is to be expected with custom work. I'll order another one, one of these days and have it ano'd to match everything else. 10.

Edit: This Ghost Ring has now taken multiple direct-hits without budging; cleans up nice with a bit of warm water.
Edit #2: ...still lovin' this thing. In fact, there's a new one on the way as the old one has been sent off - with some other things - for a matching ano job. :)
Conclusion: If you're looking for a new sighting "system" that is easy, effective and good looking - here you go.
