Review:
My friend and his cousin both bought the new promaster. When I first saw them I was very impressed by the size and the weight. I put on their asa's and then removed the grip panel to try to put in the battery. It would not go in the slot provided. It turned out that in order to put in your battery you have to remove 8 screws and loosen 1 with 3 different size allen wrenches. Not that big of a deal in less you are in a hurry to get your battery in. Both promasters I shot had CP regs and barrels on them before they were even fired, so I really cant tell you how the stock regs and barrels shot. The first time we aired them up one of them leaked, and the other shot amazing. I was very impressed with its speed. I could out shoot my ricochet Apache in semi auto. I fired the marker that leaked a couple of times and it quit leaking. Then when I shot it , it was equally fast with no problems. It has been three weeks now and the promaster that had no leaks out of the box has continued to shoot awesome with no problems what so ever! The one that leaked out of the box had had problems ever since. Some times it leaks and sometimes it does not. It will probably have to be sent back to ICD for some tuning.
Conclusion:
If you are in the market for a fast cheap electro and are mechanically good with markers, this is the marker for you. They are extremely fast and alot of fun! I am giving it a 7 because of the problems we had with the one.
I can almost say with 100 % surity that it was user error. The regs were probably not set correctly. If the pressure to the LPR is not right it will leak to avoid shooting too hot, or hurting the marker. Also, check the cylendar end cap, the one below the bolt..... Mine was not tightened all of the way down causing it leak out of the noid/bolt area. It had caused the ram to go to far back, and in turn the bolt had gone to far back.... If you push the bolt forward and it stops leaking then that is the problem..... Other than that set the regs according to the manuel. Also, the stock reg performs exceptionally, and probably did not need to be switched out, and the stock barrel is an ultralite lookalike and performalike......
