Review: I got this product not because I wanted a faster firing marker. I play woodsball, it only takes one well place shot to get someone out. I bought this product because I was TIRED of replacing the stock ratchets and also having the stock ratchet break in the middle of a scenario game just plain SUCKS.

I had heard about this product from a friend and decided to call TechT about it. I was impressed from the start with TechT's service. So I ordered two to try out before D-Day. Got them in the mail on time as promised, which is rare for me.

As soon as I got the mods in I got out my tool kit and got to work. Now if you are like me and have changed out many ratchets then the install is a breeze. The very first thing I noticed after getting one in was how SMOOTH it was compared to a stock cyclone. Just pushing the plunger in with my finger I noticed a HUGE difference. This thing was smoother than I thought was possible with the cyclone. Even my wife "she is a hardcore player also" noticed how smooth the cyclone worked with the vortex mod installed.

So now came the real test. We took them out and started firing the markers as fast as our e-grips would go on full auto. Our cyclones didn't miss a beat, not even once. Went through four 88/4500 hpa tanks in one gun just to see if it would ever skip or pause. Not even once did it skip or pause after 4 full tanks of air. I then took it apart to see how it looked. I could not even tell it had been fired. I know with the old ratchets I would have had to replace one after firing that much. So I was VERY impressed with it at that point.

Now I will be at D-Day all this next week and we will be able to put a LOT of paint through our guns. At least 12 cases per gun for the week. So the real test is to see how these things hold up under a full week of play. Now I am real picky about my guns and how I take care of them. I will clean them after every game and put new grease on the ratchets.

After D-Day I will repost on how well the vortex mods hold up in our guns. We are also going to run the vortex mods in one of our double troubles on one of the beaches. We are planning to use A LOT of paint through that gun also. I will be able to give a better review on this products longevity after we get back.

So for right now I will give this product high marks due to the ease of install, how well it did dry firing numerous tanks of air and also company support from TechT. I will change this review to a 10 after D-Day if I don't have the ratchet fail on me during a game.
Conclusion: I will wait to give my final comments after I have used this product at D-Day. I sure hope it holds up as advertised. It would tickle me greatly not to have to change out ratchets ever again.
9 out of 10
