Review:
this barrel comes in 5 patterns: Patriot (american flag pattern), Z barrel (zebra striped), Camo green (what i bought), Checkered (like a chess board), and Digi-cam Sage(digital camo[little squares])
I bought this barrel last friday and took it up north with me to play. and what can i say? site mfg does a great job with their barrels. at 14 inches and only 1.7 ounces, this barrel is way lighter than my stock, 8 inch tippmann 98 barrel. the bore is wayyyyyyyyy smoother, not even a competition...my stif-stik looks like glass inside. ive shot about 500 rounds through it so far, and even though the paint i was using wasnt the best paint to bore match(really small paint) the stif-stik out performed my tippmann hands down from any rage. also, it shoots more flat than the stck barrel, so i got a little more distance without lobbng shots. this barrel is also verrrrrrrryy quiet...my friend was off to the side of me and he said he heard only a small pop from the gun firing, then just the ball whizzing past. so i checked it out, and for sure, it was quiet! i then tried this same thing with the stock barrel and its no match...the stock barrel sounds like a cannon. they both sound about the same when you are the one firing, but thats because of the open bolt action of the tippmann making the noise.
shooting at about 75-100 feet, i could hit the trunk of a 5 inch diameter tree consistently about 9 out of 10 times, using paint that was undersized for my barrel....occasionally one would curve off course, but thats either because it was cheap paint(23 dollar case) or that it was small bore and the extra gas escaping around the ball threw it off course.
Conclusion:
this product is about $120 bux, so its a little spendy, but looking at top of the line barrels, thats about right. this barrel performs very nicely, and is basically the same barrel as the original stiffi, just with graphics inlaid into the barrel. so if you want to save 10 bux, go with the plain black stiffi, otherwise, u can have a unique looking barrel that will wow everybody...not just in looks, but when you skool them during the game. Check out the five patterns and decide if it will look sweet on your gun, i know it does on mine
