Review: My friend has this barrel on his A-5 and I have to say its pretty impressive. Accuracy is great and so is noise. However because its so long it uses lots o gas. My friend is conservative and he still runs out of air before the trigger happy people. As far as i'm concerned you should just save for a little bit longer and buy the opsgear 18in fluted sniper barrel. Its the best barrel for accuracy and its only 80 dollars.
Conclusion: Save up and get the fluted barrel. But if you have a smarts parts fetish then go ahead.
Rating:
7 out of 10

Thats not necessarily true about the Opsgear barrels because with the Tactical barrel, the muzzel break at the end of the gun, does nothing but add looks and length. It does not affect the ball or accuracy etc. Thus, the true length of this barrel is around 18-18.5". Futhermore, the Opsgear barrels have not porting and are thus louder than this barrel. Do not misunderstand though, Opsgear makes many fine products including barrels, but they do not stand alone in a class of their own. Lastly, i don't think that this barrel is equally as accurate as a 16" Progressive (assuming you have proper paint match) because this barrel is longer, so statisically it should be more accurate, but i could be mistaken. As for the gas hog thing, A5 use more gas in their consumption than most guns because they have to rotate the Cyclone feed and the way the bolt is desiged, the same amount of gas is used in firing regardless of the velocity (or so i have heard).
P.S: Good review
