Products Used:
None for Piranha, but I have used other derlin bolts for Spyders.
Marker Setup: Pirahna Evo SE (with Evil Detonator Reg)
Evil Driver Barrel
Evil on/off ASA
AC Derlin bolt
CCM Mid-rise
12v VL Revy
LP Crossfire 70/4500
Strengths: With or without O-rings
Different colors
Two detent slots
Weaknesses: Flush cocking turns into rear cocking
Review: I got this as one of the first upgrades for my Evo. I spent only $25 shipped on this bolt compared to the $30 and not shipped for the Boss Bolt WITHOUT two dentent slots. Plus, it seems EVERYONE has the Boss Bolt, so I just wanted to be a bit different. The Alamo City (AC for short) looks to be lighter anyway. I really wish I had the two to compare side by side.
You can get this bolt with or without o-rings and in different colors. Just a couple different fun options to make your marker your own.
That's all there is to this bolt. It's an easy drop in upgrade, or close to it anyway. You do have to cut the plastic ring off the cocking rod to get it to fit. It performs great and I have had no major problems. However, my flush cocking turned into a rear cocking (the rod will jump back as you cycle the gun, but it does stay flush when the gun is cocked) and I didn't notice a significant increase in cycle rates. Maybe one or two CPS, but that's it. You'll need a lighter hammer to increase the cycles.
Conclusion: It's definitly a good budget friendly alternative to other derlin bolts and has some nice features that come included that tend to cost more on other bolts. Plus, it's got some bonus features of different colors and with or without o-rings.

So far, so good.

Sorry about all the questions, but I have a ton! Did you get the bolt with o-rings? Have you noticed any better air efficiency? I've heard claims that the boss bolt does this and much more. I'm just wondering if you could get a hold of a chrono and see if the bolt makes your gun any less or more consistent. Did you have to adjust the velocity up or down after you installed the new bolt? Since you're the only one I know with an Evo and this bolt, could you find out please?

Thanks man!

I got the bolt without o-rings. I didn't feel like dealing with them so I haven't noticed any decrease or increase in efficiency. If you get the o-rings, I'm sure the effeciency would go up and blowback would be reduced. I'd still like to try one of these bolts side by side with the boss, just for an accurate comparison.

I did chrono after installing the bolt, but I don't remember EXACTLY what it was. I did have to turn down however. I'll let you know after I try my stock and this bolt again.
