It's fairly light... It's not horrible... You can mix the colors.
Weaknesses:
In my opinion from testing it, it's very innacurate.
Review:
I've had my proto for about 6 months, and people always keep asking to borrow my proto barrel, they seem to think it's as good as an ultralight. I was never really that happy with it, my accuracy sucks as it is, and I don't need a barrel to make it worse. Seriously, get a different barrel, and dont just take my word for it, put it to the test. I found an Evil Pipe one day, and it fits my PM6, and Ive been using it ever since. I tested the two barrels and I found the Pipe to be a hell lot more accurate than the stock proto barrel. It might just be that the Proto was a 12 inch and the pipe was a 14 inch... but the difference in accuracy was disgusting.
Conclusion:
if you get a PM6, GET A NEW BARREL!!! If you're thinkg about buying this barrel, DON'T!!!
this is just my opinion but i've worked with proto barrels and from my experience they're good barrels, you might have just gotten a bad barrel, i'm not gonna dispute ur review because although i don't agree with you, you seem know what your talking about and seeing as u have a pm6 i really doubt ur biased

Well accuracy depends on paint and bore match, its usually not the barrel's fualt. What paint were you using? The accuracy could have been bad becuase of horrible pant match or low quality. Of course the kit would be better becuase it will match better.
I bet it was the bore sizing because with the pipe you can change the size, and that comment about it being not as good as an ultralite is wrong because they are made in the same factory on the same machines just printed with different names.
Dispute: I disagree with the person who commented that his view differed with yours but that he felt you still know what you are talking about. A 12inch vs14inch barrel have no difference in performance accept possibly sound signature. I have a Stiffi, an ultralite, snapshot kit as well as a pepperstix. The Proto stock two piece holds its own to them all. Many factors can influence accuracy. Please retest your proto with another paintbore & see if your results differ. (I don't intend to be offensive in any manner so I apologize if my comment or tone are such.)
