Review:
I ordered these because I liked the way they looked and Empires site claimed they had the best knee padding of any paintball pants.
When I got them, I could immediately tell they do have a decent amount of padding all around. There is decent padding around the crotch area, excellent padding near the hips. The knees are a negative and a positive in comparison to my 06 Reacts. The reacts had much thicker knee padding than these. But the knee pads on these cover more area if that makes sense. It seems to wrap around more. Also, I love the fact that these have slight padding that goes all the way down the shin area because I usually get small cuts on my shins from rocks when playing woodsball.
The pants have zippered front pockets and a small pocket on each side near the thighs for you to keep a barrel swab. They have drawstrings at the bottom of each leg in case they're too long or if you just want to tighten them up. I am 5'8" and have about a 33 inch waist and the mediums fit me perfectly. Luckily the waist has velcro straps which allows you to tighten them up alot (which is what I had to do).
I tried these out yesterday and they felt fine. It was a cold day and these did a decent job of keeping me warmer than my 06 Reacts would have. This is a negative and a positive. In cold weather, all the extra all around padding that these have will help me stay a bit warmer. In warm weather, they are definitely going to make me sweat more than my 06 Reacts would have. These don't seem to have as much venting as my old pants.
Conclusion:
I'd recommend this product because they look nice, have pretty good padding all around (although I wish the front of the knees had thicker padding on them), and they have pretty much anything you could ask for out of paintball pants. The only negative is that they don't seem like they will keep me as cool as some other paintball pants I've worn, but I won't really be sure about that unil I get to wear these in warmer weather.
these pants feel amazing, the best pants i've worn. Kevlar, padding everywhere, cool butt pad design, look awesome, and thier from empire which makes high quality gear to begin with. I give the pants a 9out of10 because they are a little bit warm and nothings perfect.

I never said there wasn't padding there. It's not as thick as other pants like my JT's or XSV's. And it's not as thick as it was on last years Reacts. That's all I was saying.
