accurate as heck. makes my tippman pretty good in terms of accuracy - i don't think i'll be using the flatline anymore.. very pretty and cool. looks count in paintball (sad but true). comes in a cool case (get the whole thing at 888paintball for 199). don't need another barrel ever - get another inexpensive front and ya got sixteen barrels for about $250 - that's $16/barrel - can't beat that! allows you to get different backs so your barrel investment is protected. fairly quiet (i have a AA front). size it properly, and barrel breaks are rare. let me repeat one point - it made my tippman98 an *accurate* gun!
Weaknesses:
these are nitpicks: i wish they had chrome backs for more markers. i got a barrel hit and had to take it apart to clean, cuz paint got in between the insert and back piece. gotta be careful around the inserts they can be dented. but like i said, these are nits. oh - one more thing - made it harder to justify upgrading my beginnner marker.
Conclusion:
i have the 14" w/AA front - if you were considering getting it, i'd get it in 12 and 16 (or 18) to fit different kinds of play. I also found that it's more accurate to choose the insert that is one size smaller than the one you can blow a ball thru - you might get a ball break every 500 - 1000 balls or so, but it's more accurate. I've shot about 5K balls thru it - marbs, premium and bigball. works well with all of them, so i'll be experimenting with cheaper paint. This system is the bomb. If smart parts hasn't patented it, every barrel manufacturer will be doing the same thing soon. go to your favorite online or neighborhood store and buy it - b4 your opponent does. The only reason this gets a nine is that nothing is perfect..
