Crossfire 68/4500 HP
Well this is only for looks and will not effect performance one bit unless a certain type of color magically makes your paintball skills increase. This review is on a Gold CCU Kit.
They look great. From what I have heard they are the Nexus eye covers, which have a slight different milling than a normal Ego eye cover. On these Nexus ones instead of the plain flat cover their is a very perfect and smooth up rise on it to add style and texture. These covers are perfect and look great except on the left cover on the bottom their is a slight dent in it. Not a big problem and nothing worth sending back to Planet Eclipse in any case but with a product based on looks, you have to grade hard.
Oh my favorite part. Well put away those allens because this feedneck not only looks great but is a clamping too. Now I am a believer in clamping feed necks to be a great upgrade for a gun, and with my experience with different feed necks, this by far is the greatest I have ever used. Most feed necks do leave a little slack when clamped or are hard to close to get a really tight fit on your hopper. With this you do one adjustment, when you close it, it will be very smooth and feel like the hopper should still be loose....but its not. If you try turning the hopper then feedneck would turn instead and this is more at full strength. Once again the looks are amazing but one little flaw, near the screw to tighten the clamp their is a streak so barley visible you have to position the light in the right angle to see it...but it is their.
One of the easiest to install items...The Rammer Cap. Well....its a very small peice and not to much to screw up on it. It looks great, fits great and is just all around great...what else is their to say about it?
Last but not least, The Low Pressure Regulator Cap. Very easy installation and yet the hardest one out of all of them. Takes like a minute or two for this one but it is plain and simple. It has a great design and looks great like the stock one but is a little different. On the stock it has 4, maybe 5 flat parts to it. Opposite to the stock, the CCU Kits has 4 or 5 long but narrow smooth indents in it. Both look great but once again I prefer the upgraded one.
Well thats all for you, just a basic color changing upgrade. This does nothing for performance and alot for looks. If you are hoping to customize your Ego/ETek then I recommend you buy one.
