Where to start well, every since I heard about this mask I knew that this was the one I wanted. I tryed to order it from various sites but was unable to find anyone that had it. I tryed directly from V-Force, No go. So I contacted Shawn at Eye Tactical (he is the owner) and he took care of me. I dont know that I am the first, but certanly one of the first with it. One little issue I had was since Eye Tactical is in Canada, It had to clear customs when shipped to me and of course, Customs chose to inspect MY box! They opened it up and promtly had a cow, contacted the shipper wanting to know what this was, what was it used for, ect, well, it took them a day to decied it was harmless and release it so my next day shipping was 2 day (grrrr.) When I did get it, opened it, my jaw droped, WOW! this thing looks better in person than it does in the photographs if that is possible! Very comfertable, the helmit is very light, well padded. The V Force lens is great, for a moment, I thought the lens was missing when I looked through it! (I wonder if it will ever be that clean again! LOL!) Periferal vision could be better, I could wear my glasses, sunglasses, under the goggles with no problem. The Wow factor for this is a 25 out of 10 VERY cool. Some have had concerns about heat, I will say this that there was plenty of room under the mask, in no way did I feel "closed in" and Eye Tactical has a seperate filterd air pack that attaches to the system with a hose. see this link

This should help with cooling and fogging. Dollar Value: It is NOT cheap, 159.95 MSRP but I think with the helmet protection, mask, neck protection and cool factor It is well worth it. That of course is a personal choice and there will be some (many?) that will dump on it for price. hey, whatever floats your boat, this definatly floats mine. Overall, I cant say enough about the look, initial quality (I need to see how it is a year from now for long term) and the WOW factor is off the charts. I am VERY happy with my purchase and if you are seriously into milsim, this cant be remotly approched by any other system out there. |
