| Review: |
I've got another gun but only had the one asa (CP on/off). The Trix had a CP rail & the other gun had a CP micro drop and i'd just switch the CP on/off between the guns when i felt like using one or the other. Well that became a problem when my step-daughter started playing - she had to use yet another gun that i'm selling.
Solution? New asa. But this time, i wanted a direct mount. Naturally, i wanted to go with CP again but their direct mount on/off sticks out the back a bit. I prefer the rear of the asa to be flush with the back of the grip or forward a bit, like this Function one.
So the rail & CP on/off are now on the other gun permanently and this Function direct mount is on the Trix. Yay. And it's working out pretty well. The on/off button wobbles but not in a way that it'll degas itself on the field. You can just rotate it a little with your finger. So i suppose it doesn't wobble so much as it rotates. You wouldn't even notice if it weren't for the company's jewels on either side.
Bleed function - for those that don't know, "bleeding" the asa means not only cutting the air off from the marker but also releasing any air trapped in the asa itself; that bit of trapped air is what causes tanks to be hard to unscrew from asas (evident in basic asas with no on/off). CP perfected this tidbit of technology - Function has not.
However, in Function's defense, my tank is relatively easy to unscrew from this direct mount on/off compared to other non-bleeding or non-on/off asas. |

| Conclusion: |
There aren't a whole lot of direct mounts available but i'd recommend any one of them over a rail/asa combo. Function just so happens to make a good one. |
