| Review: |
I've only used this barrel once so far, but got a chance to see how well it would clear paint.
Having just rebuilt my Angel 05 Speed, I didn't know what the chrono was and did some test shots (turns out it was hot.) After about 20 shots, I got a barrel break. Whether it was caused by too high a velocity or an incorrect barrel insert, it gave me the chance to see if the hype was true about this barrel quickly clearning paint in about 3 shots. Okay, 1, 2, 3, nope, still loopy balls, 4, 5, 6, no... I had to shoot about 15 balls through it before they started going straight again.
That was very surprising, and it makes me wonder how my barrel is the only one that doesn't clear like magic... hmmm. While I like this barrel a lot, for this barrel break at least, I'd have to say that my Stiffi barrel would clear far faster...
That said, I had put Rain-X in the Stiffi barrel, so who knows if that's the difference. I'm going to do the same in this barrel and see how it goes next time. |

| Conclusion: |
A nice barrel, with all the sexy appeal of a carbon barrel, and a good price (if you have the inserts already) but I remain unconvinced it clears paint as fast as others have said. |
