I used Gold Cup for years on my Automags. I found that Gold Cup seemed to evaporate over time if I stored my guns for awhile and the o-rings would get dried out. They would be fine if i re-lubed them, but a oil lube should last longer than this stuff did.

I also found that I was cleaning up a blackish sludge from my gun quite often as the excess oil would work it's way through the system and deposit itself on the bolt and spring.
Marker Setup: '95 Automag with X-Valve & Level 10
pump kit Automag
Tippmann Custom '98
Strengths: Doesn't gum up
Slick
Weaknesses: Initial expense
Review: This is great gun oil!!

Compared to Gold Cup it doesn't seem to evaporate as often so it keeps my o-rings in my Automags from drying out. This gets me better seals in my valves and makes my gun operate very smoothly.

I also notice I don't clean up a film of blackish sludge when I wipe down excess oil that works it's way through the system. The rag I use to wipe down the KC oil gets wet from the oil, but not dirty.

The rag I used with the Gold Cup Oil would not only get wet from the oil, but it would get discolored black.

KC says this is from additives in the Gold Cup as a thickener that KC doesn't use. i just know my gun stays cleaner.

A small bottle of this cost me $7.99. Expensive at first, but I don't use as much as I did with the Gold Cup because the KC lasts longer. It is certainly worth getting.
Conclusion: I give this product a 10 because it is the best gun oil that I have used to date.
