| Review: |
I bought this board from Planet Eclipse as soon as they had it available for sale on their website. It came pre-installed in an 06 STAR frame.
The frame and board was an upgrade for my 05 EGO. Setup was much easier with Debounce levels and tournament presets.
Uncapped ramping was fun to try at the chrono. With my Vlocity loader, I was able to hit rates of fire in the low 20s.
I see no reason to upgrade to this board if you already have an 06 board. The extra features are nice to have, but definitely not necessary.
When Draxxus released the Pulse and RF chip, I found that the Maniac board was not able to properly operate the RF chip. It worked at low rates of fire, but during the game I ended up with a burned out solenoid.
After about 6 months of use, playing every weekend, part of the screen went dead. I sent it in to Planet Eclipse and they graciously replaced the board for free. |

| Conclusion: |
If you are looking to upgrade your 2005 EGO frame and board, prefer optical triggering, and will not use an RF chip with the Pulse loader, this would be a good upgrade. |
