So, to start it off, my friend only got his new E-TEK EGO 2008 last week after me recommending him to try it out. We loaded it up with a 45/45 and my draxxus pulse (just got yesterday!!!) with Evil paintballs. The E-TEK was literrally the same performance as an EGO, but read the rest of the review to find the key differences or read my EGO 2008 review to compare with it yourself.
~PROS~
-Accuracy: As a Planet Eclipse standard, the ETEK is no exception, the accuracy was around 3-4 inch on a windy day at 50 m and about a foot at 100+. The ETEK's accuracy is only an inch or 2 from the EGO, but to some, thats life and death (i really don't get why). The accuracy could be improved with a Deady Wind Fibur barrel which i've just acquired recently and it has served me through the harshest conditions and still maintain at top accuaracy for my EGO 2008.
-No Chops: As standard like the accuracy, Planet Eclipse made sure there were no chops because of the deftek feedneck and the most admirable cure bolt (i love this thing). The only reason why if this gun chops is if your hopper can't keep up with the marker and can't put constant pressure on the paintballs. I recommend getting a Halo B +V35 or Pulse+Rf to solve this problem if your using a non-agitated hopper right now.
-Easy to Clean: Like an Ego 2008, its cleaning processes is fairly simple and can be done in a few minutes with easy. The manual gives you step by step on how to remove parts, lube them, and them put them back. If your still confused, you can check out the planet eclipse website which will give you even more precise 3D!!! steps.
-LEDs: Unlike Ego's, the ETEK only features LEDS instead. Although this might seem a bit cheap, i find the led system more user friendly than the normal LCD's for the Ego 2008
-Fast: Expected. I was shooting lasers of paintballs as usual like the rest of eclipse's products. Not much to say except that this thing shoots ball on ball!
-Price: For a top grade marker like this, i think this is a complete bargain. by the looks and performance of this marker, it should be worth around $900+, but being how eclipse is very nice, they set it to $675!!! Very worth the money. Afterall, there isn't much difference from ETEK and EGO 2008!!!
~CONS~
-Not quite an Ego: You must've been like, what's this guy smoking???!!! Tell you what, by the milling of it its hard to notice its not an EGO unless you look at the LED's and the rear" hook" and the EGOi logo thingy. The Accuracy, speed, maintenance, etc, is only just a bit higher. Get a virtue board ($185???) + a Deadly wind fibur barrel ($90)... BOOM! you get a gun equivalent or better than a stock Ego 2008!!! |

I would recommend this marker for players who are buying from Planet Eclipse for their very first time because it doesn't cost that much, and it provides new players with an idea what a EGO 2008 will feel like and a lil glimpse of what a Sl8r will feel like! This gun has no problems yet, and if my friend encounters any, i shall edit or update my review and plz post in the comments section if you have any questions, corrections to my review, or just compliments (hopefully not stuff that'll put me down XD)!!!!
