Review:
I researched this mask for a long time before i bought it, I needed something to keep up with our woodsball skrimages. I debated feverishly over this and the profiler. The price and neck protector won me over. I don't mind getting hit, but my throat feels especially vulnerable and delacate no matter how much protection I wear.
LOOKS: When I got the mask, I was very impressed with how it looked. I didn't think it looked very good in pictures, but after I recieved it, I was very impressed. I got the woodland camo print edition. It blends in amazingly well. The mask even comes with a pouch to keep it from getting beat up outside of play.
FEEL: The foam is the first thing you notice when you put on the mask. It's nice and soft and not scratchy at all. Slips on easy as well. The ears parts are flexible and soft, but hard enough to absorb a paintball without really hurting. When it's cool outside, and I'm not sweating, it's easy to kind of forget you're wearing the mask. The lense is easy to take off as well, but it get's tricky sometimes.
PERFORMANCE: I've used this mask since i bought it. It performs wonderfully. The lens provides a very large field of view, and stays clear. I haven't had it fog up on me once, and many of the times I've played is during the 100 degree days this past summer. I was soaked in sweat, and it never fogged up while I was moving or sitting still for 30 minutes at a time. The neck protector is made of the same material the visor and ear parts are. It's soft, but rigid, but it's shape doesn't allow it to be rigid enough to make you feel like the paintball won't bend it and smack you in the throat. It also helps to hold hot air in the mask. I'm about to take mine off as I use a velcro neck protector anyway. It has a chin strap to put where you took the neck protector off.
Conclusion:
It's not as sleek looking as the profiler, but it's a great mask. The camo design especially is awesome. The materials this mask has on it, rigid and soft rigid make you feel safe, and allow you to move at the same time. It looks pretty mean, though the pictures don't really look that way. The throat protector isn't as amazing as I thought it would be, but it works. Definitely a great mask especially if you're looking for more protection/coverage.
