I recieved this in a tiny package with my 12' recon barrel and special apex. When I opened the package it was seperatly wraped, (Note: I had never used anything like this before.) It is litterally a solid peice of aluminium. I tried to figure out how to attach it sence it didn't come with instructions. What you have to do, is detach your grip frame by the push pins, and slide them on at the same time. I made the mistake of putting it on before the gripframe was ready. In my haste I tried to unscrew the back screw but I stripped it with my allen key so I had a hard time getting it off. I eventually had to get a hack saw (I don't own a dremel) and cut a slit in it for a regular screwdriver instead of the allen keys. As soon as it came out I was releaved.
All in all I really enjoy it, It is easy to install if you know what to do, And it makes your marker about a pound heavier.
Conclusion:
I'de say go for it if you like how it looks I'm just putting my opinion out there.
7 out of 10 for the back screw being so easy to strip.
