Review:
Looks - Proto hit this one on the head in the looks department. Its second to none. Love the new design on the front.
Light - You hardly know its on when playing. Perfect for days when its in the 80's out. I wear the proto chest protector under this though since its no padding in the center of this jersey.
Price - at 49.95 its not the cheapest one out, but its also not the most expensive.
Padding - It covers the key areas you get hit 80% of the time on. The elbow down to the wrist. Also it had some neck padding, but not enough to really help. Shoulder padding is a big plus, but I hardly get hit on my shoulders.
Size/fit - im 6'1 and 175 pounds so I opted for the Large size. Fit is about perfect. The only thing I would add different is maybe a tall size to make the jersey about 3inches longer to tuck in your pants better. If you bend over, it could expose some of your skin. But still it fits great.
Conclusion:
Overall, this is top notch for the price. I'm very pleased with this and I will do a follow up later on after a few more months of play. With the 09 pants its a great combo. I also just got the pants and I'll post a review on those once they are added. The pants are 89.95 and fit perfectly also. Anyway, if you are thinking about this get one. You wont be sorry!
