Review:
These are my first pball pants I have ever bought. I looked into dye and PE but ended up back with Proto. I’m glad I choose these over the rest. I’m 175 and 6’1 so I got the large size which fits perfect. They are made for a 36-40 waste but they can adjust for a tighter fit.
Price – At 89.95 they aren’t cheap but It could be worse.
Material – These are made for the extreme. I play a lot of woods ball and I doubt I have any issues with snags and etc ripping these pants! The are on the heavy side since the material is strong. But that stronger material will also help absorb the impact from paintballs.
Venting – Even though these pants are thickly made, they vent pretty well! This helps a lot when temps get above 70 degrees.
Padding – The padding in the knee area is pretty good. The padding is on the large side which helps cover down to your ankles which is handy in producing bounces. The shoulder padding is nice, but I’m hardly hit in that area so I can vouch for if it helps. I really like the elbow to wrist padding. This really helps since 80% of the time, that’s where I take my hits.
Looks – Not only do these pants work well, but they look extremely good also. For the rec guys, these will make you look professional on the field.
Conclusion:
Overall, I give these a 10 out of 10. I can’t find anything wrong with these that would take away from that score. Well made and great looking! I bought the olive/blk style, which serves me well in the woods as the speedball field. If you haven’t, go out and buy a pair.
