Weaknesses:
Not many shots (true of all 48/3000)
Review:
This tank is the cheapest, new HPA tank that I've ever seen. A year ago you would be hard pressed to find a new 48/3000 for under $60.
That being said, AVI is a reputable company and they sell a quality tank. It's not going to blow up just because it is inexpensive. Right out of the box the tank performed just fine. I went to my local scuba shop to get it filled, and there were no leaks or problems.
Hooked the tank up to my gun, shot a whole hopper. Recharge rate seemed just fine, and I again had no problems. The tank is not too heavy, about the same weight as a 68/45 carbon fiber tank.
My only complaint is that the tank only gives my gun ~500 shots per fill, but that number is obviously dependent on the size and pressure of the tank, and not this particular brand.
Conclusion:
If you are debating buying a CO2 tank, stop right now and buy this instead. True, you won't get as many shots off a fill, but HPA out performs CO2, especially if you shoot at a high rate of fire. This is a fantastic tank for the budget paintballer.
