Products Used:

Marker Setup: Used Double Fans with V-Force Profiler
Strengths: Quiet
Good wire length
Weaknesses: Doesn't quite fit the profiler!
Review: Ok, so as for the noise and wire length, and the battery set up on the mask, no prob! Very quiet! So a 10 there.

FIT: (I uploaded a pic, mine is the one on the red wood table dated 5/18/09)
As you can see from my pic, the hard plastic fan does extend into the foam padding, so I'll give it a 7 for the fit.
FIX:
For a fix to the fit issue, you have to wear the mask loosely, as loosely as possible. To do this I recommend you wear a backward hat so your mask strap rests on top of the bill. This way you don't feel the pressure of the fan pressing into your forehead. When I do this, I can't feel a thing.

HEAT/FOG:
TBD, I haven't tested that yet. I didn't really get it for the fog though, because the thermal profiler lens is already anti-fog. I got it in hopes of the fans providing a slight breeze in the 80-90 degree weather I play in. I'll update the review when I find out how that goes...

OVERALL: Considering there's a workaround for the fit issue, I'll rate this product a 9/10, deducting a point for the fit.
Conclusion: I would not recommend this product with the V-Force Profiler as there is not 2.5 cm of space before reaching the foam cushion. BUT, if you have a hat to wear under your mask to solve for the fit issue, go for it!

The profiler has over 3cm clearance and offers way enough room for the FANZ. I have had my system over 2 years and it fits no problem. Did you install them correctly?

Are you including the foam in that measurement? The hard plastic grill doesn't reach 2.5 cm. Pbreview hasn't posted my picture yet, but if you would like to email me at cjgiannelli@yahoo.com I'll send you some pics of my install. I've watched the videos and seen the pics on the Fanz website and I'm certain I've installed them correctly. If you're willing to show me where I went wrong I'll be more than happy to adjust the review. I want them to fit!
