Review:
The Tippmann Project Salvo is everything that the Alpha Black Tactical should have been. Cosmetic upgrades can be easily added using either the 4 rail barrel shroud or the top flat rail. The marker is threaded for Tippmann 98 barrel threads so there are a ton of readily available after market barrels. The marker is very sturdy and feels like it could take a good beating. The multi-position rear stock is a dream. It slides easily and when you do not want to have it in use the stock folds against the gun.
One problem that I had found with the gun is that the barrel shroud is held on by a notch held in place by a screw. With the stock barrel this shroud feels very sturdy due to the fact that the barrel pushes the stock tightly to the frame. After installing an aftermarket barrel I had found that the stock felt a bit loose. I had fixed this problem by adding a rail raiser that extended over the shroud and base of the gun.
Conclusion:
I would absolutely recommend this marker. It is highly upgradable and has the feel of a well made product.
you don't need to do anything to the marker to install a cyclone, get the 98 custom cyclone and it fits right on, there is a screw on the right side of the marker that comes out and you screw in a small airline from the cyclone feed and you're good to go
