| Review: |
My only gripe with tac vests is getting the fit right by ordering online. Now I'm a well built guy, I'm 6' 1" so trying on vests in country (Australia) is a bit tricky, especially living out of the city. I really didn't have much to go with and what's available from surplus/military stores is often extremely overpriced considering I'm only using it for paintball (and need the larger pod capacity). I was fairly happy with my 5.11 vest, but it restricts mobility and I like to get down and move around when I have to. So browsing RAP4 one day I noticed a new addition, the tac harness. I have to admit, I hadn't really given webbing much thought up until I saw that. But none the less I gave it some thought and ordered one.
The first thing I noticed was the pod pouch/tank pouch construction. It's really well made and looks like it could take a beating. The belt is fully adjustable, and fit no problem but if you happen to be a larger guy they've recently added a 6" lengthener so fit ain't going to be a problem for 99% of people. The pod placement is pretty good, I did struggle getting a pod in when I was getting lit up but I chalk that up to lack of familiarity.
The only issue with the harness that I saw is the same other people have had, and that's the upper straps. They're really thin and have no padding, I had a full tank and 4x 160 pods and although it didn't dig in it was still kinda uncomfortable. I've ordered a H harness with MOLLE and padding, so that should do the trick nicely. |

| Conclusion: |
Other than the straps I really can't fault the harness at all. I was really impressed by how comfortable it felt and how easily I was able to move around all day with it on. Not to mention the fact that it looks pretty killer as well, so I give it a 9/10 |
