Products Used:
tiberius T9-with 1st strike upgrade & Lapco 16"-with HPA-a very good rig, but cant compare with the Phantom.
Tiberius T9 with hammerhead 14"mofo barrel-with HPA-a great rig, was the most accurate standard paintball rig on our field, but not even close.
Tippman A5 with E-trigger & with numerous barrels- Very reliable, but doesn't compare at all to any of these rigs in accuracy!
Marker Setup: CCI phantom VSC-11" stock barrel
sideline palmers stabilizer
silencer-legal in South Africa
4x32 tasco scope & ghost ring(for fast shooting)
homemade stock
3.5Oz HPA bottle
marballizer paintballs
it is so good as it comes, but if you want ultra consistency HPA with reg definitely gives an edge!
Strengths: Simple, light, ridiculously accurate, very quiet, very reliable!
Weaknesses: Difficult to mount a sling on the rig.
Review: This rig is ridiculous! I can't believe the accuracy. If you use the Phantom it as it comes I was getting incredible consistency, even on Co2. But with the Palmers regulator and HPA I am getting ultra-consistency-283-284fps!I am measuring my paintballs with a sizer , which is giving me unbelievable accuracy-at 150 ft I am consistently getting a 30x30 cm spread. My best so far is 8/8 balls in 10cm circle.-This is more accurate than my Tiberius 1st strike setup, at a fraction of the price! for some reason my phantom is more accurate with a silencer, and is so quiet that my opposing players often don't even realize that I am lobbing shots at them. I can consistently gog-shoot at 150feet! I am using a "Ghillie" , which enables me to set up myself comfortably for a slow, aimed shot. I am the only guy on my field playing with the pump marker-most are using "pimped"A5's with E-triggers, so I try to avoid open shootouts! the barrel does self-clean after a few shots to reasonable accuracy, but it is very easy to unscrew the barrel, swab, to get back pinpoint accuracy. I am surprised at how fast the marker cycles if needed, the only weakness here is that because gravity fed, I must tip the marker slightly forward from my 3rd shot .Reloading with 10 round tubes is fast & easy , & i'm using a dump pouch for empty tubes!
It is also unbelievable how few balls you use in a whole day of play-once purchased this is definitely the cheapest way to play paintball!
if you want to play a sniper type game this is the marker you've always wanted- & it is worthwhile fitting a low power-(wide field of view) scope to the rig! the marker is unbelievably simple & easy to maintain-& is worth every cent I have spent on it!I honestly cannot believe that there is a more accurate marker out there!
Conclusion: If you want to play a sniper type game with 1 shot kills-go buy 1 now!
10 out of 10
