| Review: |
At first glance I didn't know what to expect from the E-Trigger. The Tippmann website says it's fires 15-17bps, but with the programming feature you can set it pretty high. I had mine set at 22bps and I emptied an entire hopper, no chops, and no misfires. I was worried that the Tippman mechanics themselves, like the bolt and springs, wouldn't keep up with the trigger. It performed beautifully. I haven't tried it yet, but I think the max setting is somewhere around 30 bps.
Make sure you have a hopper that can keep up with it or you may have some misfires or ball chops. With my Rip Clip and the Tippmann's Anti Chop Technology, it's a perfect match. I haven't encountered any problems yet with the ball chop or mis-feeds.
The programming can be tricky at first. There are 4 settings that you can program:
1)Dwell - Time the Solenoid is Active
2)Debounce - time the trigger has to be stable before registering another pull
3)ROF - Rate of Fire (Balls per Second)
4)Firing Mode - (This wasn't really explained in the manual, I had to figure it out) - This feature lets you choose which of the 5 firing modes you want the marker to default to when you turn the E-Trigger On. So instead of defaulting to Semi-Auto, you can default to 3 round burst Ramping. It's nice when playing speed ball; less time to mess with the trigger.
All of the settings apply to every firing mode. You can't program seperate things for each individual mode. |

| Conclusion: |
All together this is a great purchase. You'll finally stand a chance at speedball and your woodsball friends with terrified haha. Once you get used to the programming features, it's a very simple trigger to use, just doesn't have anything fancy to it. I would recommend this to any Tippmann owner. It unlocks the true potential of the 98c. Just make sure you have a good hopper to keep up! =) |
