| Review: |
When I first viewed this kit on Scenario Arm's website I knew I wanted my X7 to look like the G3. I ordered it in early January being told it would take 4 weeks to complete and delivered for the new season. As the months ticked by I finally made contact with SA by email in May. I was told there were delays and that my kit would be shipped in the next few weeks. I was offered to have my money returned, but I wanted the G3 kit.
I finally received the kit sometime in June. My first impressions were disappointing. The fore stock is an airsoft part that is combined with the X7 fore stock. The seams where the parts were connected weren't finished professionally. The filler they used was slapped on and not sanded smoothly. The front sight was cracked. The stock was flimsy when I held it. I had to use epoxy resin inside to strengthen the stock. I had the stock painted and sanded by a teammate.
The heavy mag was excellent. It is made completely from metal and is, well, heavy. I was impressed with workmanship that went into this item. It easily attaches on the X7 and removes as easily. The mag sits on the marker and there is very little play when attached. The kit also comes with a rear sight.

| Conclusion: |
Overall the end result cost me extra money to achieve what I felt should have been offered for what SA charges for the G3 kit. The price that SA charges I expected way better workmanship. I don't think I would order anything else from SA until all these issues are addressed. I would rate this overall product a 5/10 out of the box. After all the extra work I put into the kit I am impressed with the look and function of the kit. After the work I put into it I would say 9/10. |
