Paintball Experience: More than 5 years Similar Products Used: Various BDU pants Marker Setup: Azodin Blitz, Maddog clamping feed neck, VLocity Dynasty ed. hopper, 48ci HPA Strengths: Looks Padding Material Pockets Ventilation Cleaning Weaknesses: Sizing Groin Review: I got a gift certificate for an online paintball store and decided i wanted a good pair of pant ball pants. I decided on the Valken Crusade Xray pants. They arent too diffrent from other pants and I got them mostly because they look cool. When they arrived they looked just as awesome as they do in the pictures. I am a tall guy and need long pants the sizing chart said that the size i got had a 34 inch inseam but it fits more like a 32. I dont think this was a misrepresentation on the sizing chart but due to the cut of the pants. They naturally bend so they are going to be shorter than normal pants. Easy fix is to make sure you get a size larger than you need. The waist is extremely adjustable so you can tighten that but you cant make them longer. As far as the fasteners, they were easy and offered no trouble and held the pants securly in place just as they should. On field I was very happy with the performance. The padding on the knees worked esspecially great i play on a woods ball field and didnt even notice. No jabbing pains or sore spots the whole day and at one point i was kneeling directly on a pine cone. These pants have padding every where you need it to slide and kneel and do all the moves you need to do to play a day of paintball. With one exception, the crotch, I got nailed and it felt like there was absolutely no padding there. After Play Pants held up great. A damp wash cloth and they looked brand new. the high traffic areas didnt even look to have a scratch after 2 days of all day paintballing. it would be nice if you could machine wash them but oh well with as easy as the paint and dirt comes off this material it doesnt even matter. Conclusion: They are cool looking pants that hold up well to paintball play, are easy to clean afterwards, and do everything you would expect them to do. BUT Dont expect that lightly padded crotch to save you any pain Buy them a size larger than you normally would Rating: 9 out of 10
