First of all let me say this, the time has come for a reliable review to be written on this product first of all, The most important thing to realise is that there are now two types of bulldog regs. There is the original bulldog regulator which is just black aluminum. Then ACI made the new bulldog two reg which has a red or blue back piece( red for 800psi output and blue for 400psi output) and a chrome plated brass front piece. The original bulldogs are probably what most of the people on this site purchased. they were not very good to say the least!
Then there is the bulldog 2 which has manny new features. It has an amazing flow rate and teh reg consistency is increadible. I can shoot about 10 bps on my mag and I hit the same spot every time. no drop off at all!! Also it has a remoovable flange which allows you to replace worn out valve parts. Also the colour of the tank is increadible. for the price this tank is deffinatly the best.
About the adjustable reg; it preforms better than the preset original but does not have the consistency of the bulldog 2. ALSO THE BULLDOG 2 COMES IN A 4500PSI VERSION!!! |

The only thing that I can think of is that it is not very good on orings. actually it has trouble with the expensive urithane orings but works fine with the cheap black ones. That should almost go into the good section. |

If you are going to buy this tank you must make sure that it is the bulldog 2 reg remember that it is the one that has a red back and a chrome front section.
the only reason it gets a 9 is that no product should get a 10 unless there is absolutly nothing wrong with it and this is almost phsycally impossible |
