Strengths: This is a great addition to an already great gun. I put the ELCD on my STS G1 and it works great. This will outshoot your hopper. Very easy to install and use. I was able to shoot a good pattern right out of the box. Great short trigger pull.
Weaknesses: The battery is a pain to access, you have to remove 3 screws to remove part of the grip. A bit expensive. The "Ram Air" chamber can't keep up with the gun, I reccomend putting a regular chamber on. You should use a good paint with a thin fill because when you chop a ball the gun will jam because of a thick fill even after cleaning the barrel.
Conclusion: I actually parted out my Piranha and haven't used the grip in a while. I just put together a Vtl with Flush cocking, Dye 12" barrel and PMI expansion chamber (I shoot air not C02, but I like the feel and I can still use C02 in a pinch). I don't think that I will be using the ELCD much any more because if I want to go electronic I will use my Impulse. The handle is still worth the cost (I sell it for $225) but only if you can afford it, I don't think that it is the best for everyone, but great for maintaining the stock look with great performance. If you would like to purchase this product or other paintball products please drop me an e-mail.
