I have used the ff guns,97 proteam custom cocker, shocker 4x4, automag with electro grip(centerflag), 2k bushy with vapor internals and zip chip, Warpedsportz 2k angel lcd, 2k1 angel LCD. If i am to compare the e mag with these guns, it doesnt even compare with my ANGELS, also i think my bushy with the vapor upgrades is still a better marker than my V 1.31 e mag. That is why I sold it for half the price i bought it for.Might as well turn it into cash than suffer another day knowing that i own 1.

Recommended Upgrades:
A fast hopper, preferably HALO A or B, or a warp feed. One of the main reasons why i really didnt like my e mag was because it virtually turns into a blender whenever i use it. Chops paint like crazy so i figure if you have 1 at least invest on a good hopper or warpfeed system.
Strengths:
The good about the e mag is that like all of AGD's products, they are virtually indestructible. maintainance is a cinch, just replace your o rings and you are ready to go. I firmly believe that automags are constructed to last and the e mags are no exception.Another good thing about the e mag is that the electonics package of the gun is not cluttered with useless electronic features like my angels, e.g. vibration modes, temperature, etc.etc. it only comes with the features that you will actually need to play effectively and not those features that you wont even use. Lastly you get two guns for the price of one when you buy it because unlike other electros, you are in deep Sh#t when the electronics fail, while with the e mag, you can always switch to RT mode so that is a big plus if you only have 1 marker but totally worthless if you have 1 more in reserve.hehehe
Weaknesses:
THE BAD, well here are the reasons why i didnt like my e mag, First of all , it is too d#mned heavy, compared to it, my angels feel like stockguns. A heavy paintgun is a big turn off if you play front like i do. Secondly, it chops balls like a blender, for all the times i used it, i can never recall a time when i did not chop a ball in a single game, thats right in a single game not in a single day. AGD should start shipping these with a complimentary squeegee of good quality because people buying it would surely make good use of it. HEHEHE.
Lastly, the charger that came with my e mag was busted, i dont know if this was an isolated case but for whatever reason it was a big inconvenience because i had to wait 2 weeks before a new charger was sent to me by my paintball dealer.
Conclusion:
I purchased my e mag last year because like most players i had high hopes for the very first electro marker that AGD came out with. I guess i expected too much from it that when i actually used it, i was totally disappointed with the results because i expected it to at least perform as well as, not to mention better than my ANGELS. For the price you have to pay to get an e mag, i think its more cost efficient to buy a custom bushy or impulse, that way you get a better marker while saving quite a lot of money in the process. Therefore i cannot in good concience give it a better rating than a 5 because its just too expensive for a heavy, ball chopping machine that will make you spend more time cleaning out your barrel than actually playing the game.
ok i would like to say that this gun does not chop at all. you sould not give this gun a bad review because u dont know how to work the trigger. ask anybody that has owned a agd marker you have to get use to the trigger and after that you will have no problems. i got used to the trigger in like an hour and if u have trouble they come stock now with the lx bolt that you will never chop.it is a littel heavy but its nothing to complain about! if u really have trouble with this then i feel sorry for you. i am not very strong and play front and have played larger scenario games and never had problems with the weight.
LoL, I have chopped 1 ball in my e-mag out of 6 cases of paint 1 BALL, and I think due to deffective ball not bolt problem. I would guess you dont even own an e-mag. Oh well, another angel owner wishing they would of bought an E-mag.

imma say what everyone else said... just because it is true... lvl 10.
and a 12 volt revy? what r you, retarded?
hey dude.
if you dont like it that much i will buy it.
name a price.
i love these things.
i dont know why you are choppin but if you let me buy it i will deffinately fix that.
maybe you didn't set the level 10 correctly.
maybe you are usin a piece of sh*t hopper.
whatever the problem is i will fix it.
sell it to me.
my sn = azzbeenkikedalot on aim
msg me and i will buy it
yeah dude, a faster hopper isnt an upgrade for the gun its just a piece of equipment you should have if you plan to be shooting fast. Kinda like a good pod pack so you have enough paintballs.
Yeah man, I own an x-mag, and for the most part, the only difference bet. the x and E-mag is weight, mainbody, and the ACE on the x-mag, which isn't even all that necessary b/c of the level X. I think a rating of 5 is insane.
quote:Originally posted by toomuchice how about selling it and byuying a gun with eyes, that way chpping is never a problem. i eman what were u thhinkg buying an emag in the first place.
ever heard of the lvl10, dipsh*t?
Here's the problem. The review was written in Aug. of '02, which, according to the review, is one year after the guy got his E-Mag. So that means he got the E-Mag in '01. THe lvl10 bolt didn't come out until 2002. THAT'S the problem. This guy didn't have a lvl10, hence chopping. If he just woulda gotten the lvl10 upgrade, then maybe he wouldn't of had to sell his gun b/c he thought it was so crappy.... hope the person who got it made good use of the lvl10.

All guns will chop, no gun is magical and will not chop. I own three matrices a DM4 a PM5 a DM5 all have chopped before. I have had people on my team chop on ego's like crazy, the same with shockers. I honestly dont know much about E-mags but it might not be set up right or it might be a lemon or its just idk. Why do you people have to swear when you insult. Your insults lose all credibility and intelligence with swears. Just a helpful reminders. Later flamers.
