Definately helps with feed problems
Really loose fit into feed neck
When i bought my revy, i realized too soon that i needed a hi-rise to keep up with my finger. I bought the evil smokestack for beauty as well as function. It does the job well, keeping more balls in line to be fired. I rarely ever chop now that I have it. However it did not fit my gun too well. Once installed, I could not separate it from my hopper without a great deal of force and it would practically fall out of the feed neck of my gun if i had a full hopper. To remedy this, I tapped a hole in the side of my feed neck on the gun and used an allen set screw to pin the smokestack in place.
I like the fact that it helps with my feed rate, but i did not appreciate that i had to modify my marker to make it work. It does it's job well, it just didn't fit well. If you need a hi rise, and are thinking of this one, try it out at your proshop before you buy (if you can).
I have this feed neck on my Piranha and it is very helpful. The smokestack is designed to fit any feed neck so it comes with a pack of about 30 O-rings of varying diameters. If you look at the pic of the smokestack, those black rings around the bottom of it are O-rings of differing sizes. Before you use this, you must go through the bag of O-rings and fit some on the bottom of the smokestack so that it fits snuggly in the feed neck and then fit three more INSIDE the smokestack so as to secure your hopper in place and keep it from shaking and falling out. What this guy did is totally unnecessary and time consuming. All you have to do is read the instructions and you will understand. Three O-rings on the outside bottom to fit it into the feed neck of the gun, and three on the inside top of the smokestack to fit you hopper into it. It is that simple.
