Review:
It should be so simple. However, these aren't manufactured well (I dunno why) and when installing it I've heard a number of people say the same thing as I, it doesn't line up. Trying to screw it in, it like seperated my A5 grip. Go with the DOP mount, Lapco disappointed me with this one.
Conclusion:
Get the dead on mount, this pos doesn't even line up. To Lapco: how hard can it be to take a few measurements before you start cranking these out?
I wonder if it has anything to do with whether or not you're using an E-Grip?
People said the same thing about the model 98 dovetail sight rail, not realizing that it was designed for the model 98, NOT the 98 custom. I wonder if something similar may be happening here.
Dispute: I tried the DOP bottomline adapter and the Lapco is by far superior. Not only did the DOP not sit flush with the bottom of the grip, it didn't even match the contour of the bottom of the grip. On top of that, it sat too far forward. None of these problems were apparent in my Lapco version. Sits flush (no rocking of tank), follows contour, and is centered correctly. DOP usually makes junk and Lapco does not. And I've tried it on both the stock grip and an E-grip. Couldn't find a better comparison example to illustrate this.
