| Review: |
I got the 18" barrel mostly because thee are so few barrels available for the Phantom. I've often had problems with roll out from the stock barrel and for the price, its not to bad.
The barrel is teflon coated and looks like its made of PVC. The muzzle screws on and stays secure. When mounted doubles the length of the gun, making it look very impressive.
The greater length makes aiming a bit easier, you can see the tip of the barrel without any problem. A little unwieldy at times but useful for poking through the brush and grass so that you don't have to expose more of yourself than nessessary.
The greater length does lower 12g efficiency if you have a tight barrel-paintmatch. I saw my shot count drop from 36 to 28 at full velocity. Blaze and Draxxus still roll into the barrel, but rarely out. (Lowers velocity and efficiency)
Haven't broken one in the barrel yet so I don't know if the teflon coating adds anything to quick clean out.
My understanding is that this was designed for a custom order and CCI decided to market it. Those closer to CCI have said that shorter lengths of teflon coated/tighter bore barrels are in the works. |

| Conclusion: |
Its a CCI product so its well made and has practical value. If you are looking for a tighter bore barrel, go with the Lapco Microshot. If you want a long barrel for some fun this is not a bad choice. |
