Review: CCI's Carbon Fiber Barrel for the Phantom is an excellent barrel. I got mine from the second run, the one that ended last week. (9-21-03, the date I'm writing this) I absolutly love the barrel. There are a few differnces from the stock barrel. The carbon fiber is lighter, looks better, quieter, and has a smaller bore than the stock barrel. Performance wise, they shoot about the same. From 50 feet away, shooting around 260 fps, and using some kind of white box paint, which was probably about .686 caliber, I had about a 2 inch grouping. It shot balls one on top of the other. The barrel's beginning is .687, but it's tapered, so it ends at .693. The stock barrel can do the exact same thing, only the carbon fiber barrel looks cooler. If CCI still made them, you should get one. But they don't anymore. If they do decide to make anymore, get one.
Conclusion: Best Phantom barrel, hands down. it shoots just as good as any other barrel for it, and it looks really cool. The picture on the page does it injustice, especially since the 2'd run had a silver back and a silver muzzle, not black and white like in the picture. Like I said, get one if you can.
