Just the bottle when I didn't have a drop forward. Not quite the same :)
Marker Setup:
M98C, 18" Thunderpig Barrel, Lapco Red Dot Sight, VL 200 Rnd Hopper, 12-20 Ounce CO2, X-Core Expansion Chamber, 5" rop forward, CAR Stock, Double Trigger and Trigger Guard, Rocket Cock
Strengths:
Helps balance
Weaknesses:
Adds weight
Review:
Weaknesses: Well, it adds a little more weight to the gun, and makes it longer, which thusly makes it not so suitable for speedball play. Makes it kind of bulky. Interferes slightly with a rocket cock. It also costs quite a bit. Shakes a little bit when you first get it, but there is a way to tighten it if you mess with it long enough.
Strengths: Steadies aim. If you can't see down the barrel, then you have to adjust the stock. If you've ever shot an M4, you're going to like this product. It is much easier to aim with once you learn how to aim with it. Plus it looks wicked cool. If the Army's been using 'em with success for years it can't be too bad can it?
Conclusion:
If you play a lot of rec ball, get this item. If you play speedball, it will most likely just add dead weight to your gun and be more bulky. If you do play speedball, I would strongly disadvise you from purchasing this. If you've got the cash and play recball, go and get youself one of these. (From the point of view of a Rec ball player if that helps you)
