Review:
My torpedo has had problems since the inception. They might be great regulators when you get a good one - but the one I received had burrs on the spring so the regulator would not be consistant since the regulator spring would catch on the side of the torpedo. I understand that this is an issue with not just mine but others as well. The solution is to debur the spring or return it to the dealer for free repair.
Conclusion:
It seems that the platinum reputation of the torpedo regulator is in doubt recently since so many have had quality control issues. I hope that the next production run will have better luck. Good design - poor manufacturing.
ummmm, yeah? Maybe you have insight that I don't. This was my experience and several others. Please search pbnation if you doubt. Look in the intimidators forum. http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40793 3&highlight=%2Balias+%2Bproblems According to others Bob Long himself has said that a recent production run had problems with the cut on the main regulator spring. I'm just relaying my experience. Your mileage may vary.
Lazy? Yah right. So uh - thanks for the insult. Bonehead. I did get it fixed for free since they are right down the street from me. But I've had better experience with the gladiator 2k4. But the $1300 I spent on a Alias - it shouldn't have had these problems.
this case comes from a lot of different companies. After having good reviews the QC gets lazy. Some of the bad products do get out some of the time. If you are lucky enough to get the good ones then Great!!!!! You have to judge for yourself. If more people write good reviews than bad reviews generally the few out weigh the few.
