Comfort WITHOUT GLASSES
TERRIBLE w/glasses. Limited view. VERY HARD to remove lens. Screws loosen.
The ONLY good thing is their comfort without glasses. The bad points are legion. It is LOUSY WITH GLASSES. Crushes them to your face. Bends frames. No side slots for the temples. The lens is a ten minutes torture to remove. I dare you to try to remove it if you are considering this mask. Tell the salesman to show you how to remove it. The lens is too small giving a limited view. Lens inside is very prone to smearing. Your view is through a fog. Very hot to wear. The electric fan helped but not much. The screws holding the ear protectors on kept coming loose. You would have to use Locktite to secure them or you WILL lose a screw or two.
Do NOT buy! The lens is a torture and you do need to remove it to get the inside lens clean. Does NOT work with glasses. Screws fall out. Very limited view. Buy the VForce Morph or Profiler and get a huge, clear, view even to the sides and a lens that comes out in a minute. PLUS plenty of room for glasses. Better airflow therefore cooler too. Smaller profile.
Even for the reasons that you posted, I don't think it is worth down grading it to a 4 our of 10.
I have two spectras and nForcer, and a friend with a Dye Invision. Out of all of these the spectra is the easiest to clean (ie easy mask removal) and the longest lasting (so far). One of the spectras is almost 8 yrs old and still no problems. The one weakness that I know of is neck protection, but that is about it.
oh yeah, I used to wear glasses with the spectra and my dad wears glasses with his spectra... and no problems. You must have giant glasses or something.
