Strengths: unique, good training tool for police
Weaknesses: 50. cal not used today, low energy to velocity rate because of small ball cal.
Review: I owned this when it came out years ago and didnt find it compatible with the markers I was up against at the time. If I hit somone with it the balls didnt always break. Due to such a small caliber it didnt carry the energy needed to be effective. Back then APG had a chart on caliber to velocity and energy dude to the many differnt calibers at the time. thesmaller the ball the more velocity it needed which caused a problem with teh 300fps rule that was meant for .68 cal. So a smaller ball due to its lack of mass waud need more velocity to heit as hard as a .68 cal at the same velocity. Many people didnt understand this and thought a higher velocity for smaller cal was dangerous but they were gaging this by .68 cal standards. In short a .50 cal at 300fps wauld not hit as hard as a .68 cal at 300fps.
I also had a speed loader for this gun which was easy to pop in the break away desighn of this gun.
Conclusion: A blast from the past in the days when pauintball wasnt ruled by posers with cute gunz and the thrill of the hunt and skill were paramount. Due to the cal. and low rate of fire for a double action I wauld have given this gun a 7 back when it came out because it worked each time but lacked in other aera mentioned.
Rating:
7 out of 10
