It works well, and even encourages some bouncers! (Always a plus). It can get hot in the summer, but the protection is well worth it, and if you get too sweaty with it on you can always take if off between games. Man, that's a strength because it helps protect your adam's apple. the only problem with this neck guard is the velcro, it isn't very strong and if you don't have it on just right it tends to fall off. it never happened to me yet but i could see that happening. other than that this is a great prodruct.
