It is too rough on the ball. I get barrel breaks from the impact.
Review:
Brittle paint that would normally shoot fine out of the Stock Bolt, cobra bolt or A4 bolt would break just by the bolt change in all my markers (SPEED, IR3, and LCD).
The break would occur at point of impact; switch the bolt and the same paint shoots on all three angels I own. Let me reiterate, it is not chopping, but having breaks at impact during slow fire conditions.
When using fresher paints or non brittle tourny stuff (EVIL (black boxes))... the velocity does increase by about 13 fps over the stock bolt. If you use FIELD PAINT like Blaze you will not have a problem with this bolt.
The gains are not higher than what you would get with either the A4 bolt or the Cobra bolt.
Conclusion:
I don't recommend this product because it limits how brittle of a paintball you can shoot. I was disappointed with this EVIL product as other items in the past have faired well.
I would say take a look at the A4 bolt which retails for only $25 or try the proven Cobra bolt. Same gains if not more and does not cause the breaks from brittle balls.
