Review: SC Village, where should I start. Most people say they love this field and there is nothing like it and others have the worst time and bad mouth this park all the time. My opinion of this park is that it is a place every paintballer should play at least once. To me SC Village is the Mecca of paintball. I had heard of this place way back in the mid 90's and always wanted to play a day. So when I moved to SoCal I had to play this field. It was well worth it. Since my first I still have a good time there. Now this is not to say that this is the perfect field like others is has problems.

1. Many fields
2. can handle big crowds
3. tourney fields
4. Can bring your own paint
5. HPA and CO2
6. food and restrooms
7. Free water
8. Safety
9. Good refs

1. hot during the summer
2. the smell of cow
3. prices - store and air both co2 and hpa
4. cheap days = huge crowds
5. not many tourneys any more
6. some fields really showing there age
7. load speakers not working all that good

The variety of the fields is great. There are woods to city type fields. The majority of the fields are wooded. The good thing about these is that from season to season they change. SC has always been about giving the paintball player a wide variety of fields. The city fields are some of the best I have played. Tali-ban City is great and Beirut is always a favorite. Also the tourney fields are good and it is always cool to see the pros practicing on Sundays. But one thing I would like the owners to do is fix the fields. Bosnia, Vietnam, and Beirut need to be fixed. The buildings are falling apart. Maybe a makeover for the whole field is in order. I mean the field it self is over 10 years old.
The staff is always good. Sometimes you run into a young kid who is just doing his job and doesn't really care but this is just a theme you see at most paintball fields. So you can't hold this against SC.
The rentals are showing their age but you get what you pay for. These are good enough for the first time player. They don't rent Cockers anymore which is a shame. The store is a little pricey for things and they don't have much. I still don't understand why they don't have a better store.
Air station is a little under staffed. They need to have the compressor on earlier because sometimes they can't get you more than 2200psi. But you can get 4500 fills are the tourney fields but only after 9:30 when the guy shows up. So show up with a full tank. The prices for both air and co2 are a little high. $10 for all day air is always silly. It is just compressed air they get for free and I know the gas for the generator can't cost that much. CO2 prices are a little high but they do have to pay for that.
All and all this field has something for everyone. I think this is why so many love it and come ther every weekend. If you love paintball and haven't play there yet plan ahead and you won't be disappointed.
